What would be on your “Could Do” List?
The Could Do list is a form of ritual; I’m not forced to act on anything, but just the act of writing an idea down means there is meaning behind it, even if it’s not immediately apparent. Down the road, there will likely be some synchronicity among my ideas and what’s wanting to emerge.
Seeing Things Through
So, what’s the goal you’re wishing you could stick with? Take note of the people around you who have experienced success in your field. It’s a sure bet that they started out as beginners at their craft, put in the time and effort, experienced failure, hesitation and doubt, but kept at it.
You Can Handle Your Thinking
We have flexibility over how we interpret our experiences and thinking. Using the metaphor of thoughts as clouds in the visualization strategy explained in this blog opens up the notion of that choice; that we can interpret our own experiences, just like we each have our own interpretations of clouds in the sky.
Tune in to What You’re Ignoring
I want you to imagine that you can clearly see your vision of success right in front of you. Turn around and see the journey you took to get to where you are, with new understanding about what you had been ignoring. Without judgement, name those things that you became aware of and learned to control. Appreciate the experience of the hard work and discomfort you went through to face them. Reflect on what you notice about where you are now, and the words and emotions that come to you.
